The Opportunity

We're looking for Forward Deployed Engineers who can take an ambiguous customer problem and turn it into a working AI product.

You'll work directly with manufacturing teams, understand how decisions are made today, work with real-world operational data, rapidly build and test solutions, integrate them with existing systems, and take them all the way into production.

The role sits at the intersection of software engineering, applied AI, product, deployment, and customer outcomes.

You won't simply implement a predefined product. You'll help discover what should be built, build it, learn from how it performs in the real world, and turn those learnings into better Genorai products. This is not a traditional implementation or solutions engineering role—you'll have real influence over what gets built, not just how it gets deployed.

What You'll Own

Turn Factory Problems Into Working Products

Work directly with users to understand how the factory operates, where decisions break down, and where AI can create meaningful value.

Translate those problems into software and take them from prototype to production.

Build Applied AI Systems

Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications and agents using LLMs, enterprise data, APIs, and Genorai's platform.

You'll experiment rapidly—but you'll also make what works reliable enough for everyday production use.

Work on the Factory Floor

Understanding the real environment is part of the job.

During pilots and deployments, expect regular customer-site work, often 2–3 consecutive days at a time, working alongside the people who will actually use what you build.

Make Imperfect Data Usable

Real manufacturing data is rarely perfect.

You'll work with operational data, identify gaps in quality or availability, connect different sources, and find pragmatic ways to create the context AI systems need to make useful recommendations.

Connect Systems

Integrate Genorai with ERP, HRMS, MES, PLM, and other enterprise systems through APIs, databases, and data pipelines to create complete operational workflows.

Evaluate What You Build

AI that looks impressive in a demo isn't enough.

Define evaluations, test recommendations against real scenarios, understand failure modes, and continuously improve accuracy, reliability, and usefulness.

Turn Deployments Into Product

Every customer should make Genorai better.

Identify patterns that repeat across deployments and turn customer-specific learning into reusable product capabilities, tools, and improvements.

Own the Outcome

Stay close to what you build after it ships.

Debug problems, observe how people use it, iterate quickly, and work with the broader Genorai team to ensure the product creates measurable operational value.

What You'll Bring

You don't need to know everything on day one, but experience with several of these will help:

• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar
• REST APIs, SQL, and working with real-world data
• Building full-stack applications or production software systems
• LLM APIs, AI agents, tool/function calling, and RAG
• AI evaluation, experimentation, and observability
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Enterprise integrations and data pipelines
• Git, Docker, and modern software engineering practices

Experience in manufacturing is not required.

Curiosity about manufacturing is.

Position Details

Location: Neelambur, Coimbatore — Work from Office
Travel: Regular customer-site visits during pilots and deployments
Employment: Full-Time

This role is primarily designed for engineers with hands-on software-building experience.

However, we care much more about ability than tenure, and exceptional early-career engineers and fresh graduates with a strong body of work are welcome to apply.
